The page addresses a variety of frequently asked questions related to laser cleaning solutions, including what they are, how they work, what materials they can be used on, and the safety of this method.

Laser cleaning uses a process called sublimation, this is a process where a controlled beam of laser energy vaporise contaminants leaving a clean substrate below. We can control the beam width, beam depth and beam power. Our experience in various metals and substances allows us to predetermine the best setting for the job at hand. Laser cleaning is a great alternative to traditional media cleaning technique such as Sand Blasting.

Our laser cleaning machines use continuous wave laser beams. We don’t use any abrasive or chemicals and laser cleaning leaves little to no reside of the contaminant behind. While lasers can be very safe to use and is said to be safe on all organic materials, from time to time, we will come across lead paint, asbestos, etc. For this reason we take the health of ourselves and those around us very seriously. When using the laser, our team will wear protective eye wear, breathing apparatus and will use screen to block to view of the work area.

Laser cleaning can be used on any metal surface as well as tile, brick, concrete and glass. Our lasers cleanly remove rust, paint, filler, soot, mould, grease, oil and oxide build ups.

Laser Solutions Australia is a fully mobile service with our machine removable from our purpose designed van and able to be wheeled closer to the location of the work. We can simply plug in at your residence of work place or use our onboard generator. We can also operate just over 55 meters from the closet power source.
